What is Search Engine Optimisation?
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is the process of optimising the links, images and directory structures withing your website so that when a search engine sends out it's robots* or spiders* it picks up on the keywords in the content of your site and rates you highly on the Search Engine.
SEO is particularly important nowadays, as there is so much more content on the internet. Your potential customers and visitors simply will not find your website unless it has been SEO'd properly and let's face it, what's the point in having a website if no-one can find it?
What can I do for your site?
If I build your website for you, I will optimise your site for all the major search engines such as Google, Yahoo, MSN, Ask and Looksmart as I go along, so it won't actually cost you anymore to have your website fully prepared, however if you've already had your site done somewhere else and you find that no-one can find it when they search for it, or you don't get many visitors, then you may be in need of some Search Engine Optimisation.
If you need SEO doing to your site, then I can do a full analysis of your current website, however if you're looking for a price, you will have to contact me for a quote, as each website is individual and it all depends on the extent of work involved. Unlike other SEO companies, however, I charge by a basic hourly rate of 12€ and it all depends on how much work is involved and how much time I have to spend doing it as to how much it will cost.
A general framework to bear in mind is that it can sometimes take as long to optimise a site as it does to build one, so if you are unhappy with your site anyway, it might cost less to have it completely re-designed.
